LiteScan is a document scanning, OCR, translation, and export app for iPhone. This Privacy Policy explains how LiteScan handles information when you use the app.
LiteScan is designed to process your scanned documents mainly on your device. We do not actively upload your documents, images, or recognized text to our own servers.
Information processed by the app
LiteScan may process scanned or imported images, recognized text, document names, editing results, thumbnails, exported files, and app settings to provide scanning, OCR, filters, translation, export, and document filing features.
Local storage
Scanned files, thumbnails, recognized text, document names, and preferences are mainly stored locally in the app sandbox on your device. Deleting the app or deleting documents inside the app may remove related data. Please back up important files when needed.
Camera and photo permissions
Camera access is used to scan documents. Photo library access is used to import images and save exported scan results. You can manage or disable these permissions at any time in iOS Settings, but related features may stop working.
OCR and translation
Text recognition uses the iOS Vision framework. Translation uses system translation features and language pack downloads. These system services may be governed by Apple's privacy policy and your device settings.
Subscriptions and purchases
LiteScan Pro purchases, renewals, and restore purchases are handled through the Apple App Store and StoreKit. We do not receive complete payment details. Apple provides transaction status to the app so Pro features can be unlocked.
Data collection
LiteScan does not include account registration, advertising SDKs, or analytics SDKs in the current version. Based on the current app implementation, the developer does not actively collect your scanned documents, images, recognized text, or document names.
Contact and support
If you contact us for support through the developer contact information shown on the App Store page, we may receive the information you choose to provide, such as your message and contact details. This information is used only to respond to your request.
Children's privacy
LiteScan is a general productivity tool and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect product changes, legal requirements, or App Store requirements. Updated content will be posted on this page or shown inside the app.
